Acts 2:46-47 KJV
“And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.”
Whatever works, works by laws. To be ignorant of the law is to suffer constant setbacks and perpetual failure. Favour is no different, to know the laws of favour is to enjoy favour at will. Favour doesn't have to be a happenstance, it doesn't have to be a thing of luck per se. Favour can be commanded and created as needed. Here are a few more laws that makes for favour.
1. THE LAW OF PRAISE
One of the laws of favour is the activation of a praise lifestyle. Your praise to God causes people to do you kindness. The early church had favour with all the people without exception. Some things can give favour with some people but praise and worship gives you favour with all the people. Praise can turn a battle into a party. Praise can cause a celebration out of a calamity. When Israel should have been fighting, by praise they began to gather blessings. 2Chronicles 20:1-end. People normally would fight at the war front, but praise can change your warfare to welfare. Therefore anything that attacks your praise is attacking your welfare.
Praise pleases God, it brings God great pleasure. (Isaiah 42:21). When you praise, you are fulfilling the purpose of your creation. Everyone who has breath in Him owes God praise, because that was the purpose of your existence. If praise pleases God, then by praise He will make your enemies to be at peace with you. Proverbs 16:7
Obededom was a man who experienced favour in a very extraordinary fashion.1Chronicles 13:14. God blessed his house and all that he had; Why? His very name depicted praise itself. Obededom- means service or servant, and worshipper. So he didn't just worship occasionally he was a worshipper by lifestyle.
That was what ushered him into the kind favour that he saw. He was so blessed that David envied him. When David eventually took the ark, they praised the Lord every six steps, upon the counsel of Obededom, I believe.
