“… Pouring in oil and wine …”
(Luke 10:34)The oil is symbolic of the Holy Spirit and the word of God. The wine is symbolic of food. Both strengthen man for the long journey. Beloved, you have started a journey of destiny. It does not matter how many years you have spent on planet earth. You started a journey of destiny the day you caught the revelation of the redemptive work of our Lord Jesus on the cross and the Holy Spirit gave you the interpretation of who He is to you and where He is leading you to. That day, you tasted for the first time the “food of life” which only the Lord can give you and that food is what is helping you continue in the journey to your destination. That food has power to furnish you with the ability to excel in your finances, marriage, job, education, career and ministry and to stand you out as special specie amongst God’s creation.
In
Luke 1:35, Jesus instructed the Holy Spirit to take care of you. The Holy Spirit is to watch over you and lead you in your way. When you need help or somebody to lean on in times of trials, the Holy Spirit is there. He is the “inn-keeper of your soul”.
