Journalists from around Europe have voted for their best player
Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale are all in top 10
Will Grigg is shock inclusion in top 30, tying with Paul Pogba in 25th
Grigg scored 25 goals for Wigan in League One last season
As the song goes, Will Grigg has been on fire this season - and now he has been recognised as the equal of potential £100m man Paul Pogba by UEFA.
In the European governing body's nominations for the best player in Europe, Grigg, who spent last season in League One and failed to get a game at the European Championships, was tied for 25th.
That placed him level with Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini, Atletico Madrid star Diego Godin, Spurs goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, and United target Pogba.
Northern Ireland international Will Grigg has been named one of the top 30 players in Europe this season
Grigg played his football in League One for Wigan last season, scoring 25 times in their promotion campaign
Paul Pogba, who made the final of Euro 2016 and won Serie A with Juventus, was tied 25th alongside Grigg
The list is compiled by journalists from each of the 55 countries in UEFA, who rank their top five players in Europe for the last season.
The top 10 will be whittled down to three next month, with a jury to decide who will take the crown, last won by Lionel Messi.
The Barcelona man is in that top 10, which also features Cristiano Ronaldo, Garteh Bale, Euro 2016 top scorer Antoine Griezmann and former Liverpool star Luis Suarez.
