1 Kings 17:7-9 KJV
“And it came to pass after a while, that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land. And the word of the Lord came unto him, saying, Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee.”
If you seem to be stranded all the time and always in confusion, it might just be that you have missed the voice of God concerning where you should be, what you should be doing, and may be what you should stop doing. When the famine started due to the lack of rain in Israel, God spoke to Elijah to go to the brook Cherith, because a raven had been commanded to feed him there. And then the same brook dried up, and God issued another command to him again, to go to Zarephat, because a widow had been commanded to feed him there.
Please note the word “there” showing up all the time. There is a place called "there" in every man's life and journey on earth. At each point in time you must be able to articulate and discern where and what that place is. Being anywhere other than “there” is a disaster or death for that matter.
The following is what it will require:
i. Keep and maintain a very sensitive spirit. So you can discern things faster and sharper.
ii. Never be too comfortable in anything or anywhere you are. Let God be the only permanent thing in your life.
iii. Learn to be submissive and to surrender to His will within the slightest move.
iv. Develop deep trust for God, and know that He knows what He is doing. And that it would work for your good at the end.
Assignment
-Read up today's message again.
-Take up all the points and pray them for the rest of the week , till you get some clarity in your spirit.
Prayer
-Ask the Holy Spirit to show you where you may have missed it in the past.
-Lord I receive grace to make corrections and adjustments in my life in Jesus Name.
-Lord take me home by the hand and lead me to the place called there; the place where you have prepared for me in Jesus Name.
