Readings 'Do you love me more than these others do?'
Jesus, always aware of our human needs, had prepared a meal for the disciples who’d been out fishing all night. Three times he asks Peter if he loves him and Peter was constant in his answers: ‘Yes Lord, you know I love you’. Jesus showed he was not only ready to accept Peter, flawed though he was, but he was commissioning him to take on the role of Shepherd.
We too are called, and with this call comes responsibility. We have been given the gift of life and graced with faith.
