“And Samuel said unto the people, it is the LORD that advanced Moses and Aaron …”
1 Samuel 12:6Yesterday, we saw that Moses had only one rod in his hand but God used that rod to change him from zero to a hero. God advanced Moses. He took him from a nobody and made him a great leader. when Moses fled from Egypt in Exodus 2:15, he left in disgrace. He had no money, no family, no name – he was just a nobody. Forty years later when he returned to Egypt, he had only one rod in his hand but God used that rod to change his life forever (
Exodus 4:20). In
Exodus 7:11, when Pharaoh saw that Moses’ rod had changed to a serpent, he took two significant steps:
He sent for his wise men
He sent for his wizards, sorcerers, and magicians.
These two groups symbolize two categories of people that will fight you as you try to rise to your next level in life. The first are natural human beings who do their best to stop you from rising to your next level in life. They lie against you, cook up stories fashioned to demean your personality and engage in all sorts of manipulations to stop you from rising to your next level while the second group comprises of human beings beings possessed with demonic spirits from the pit of hell. These are fighters who do not cook up their deadly strategies naturally, they cook them up in the covens by witchcraft. They cook them in witch doctors’ houses and other devilish places. Their aim is to stop you. But God’s aim is to advance you. God can never be defeated so you can never be defeated.
In spite of all Pharaoh’s agents did to confront and demoralize Moses and Aaron, they remain undaunted “…but Aaron’s rod swallowed up their rods” (
Exodus 7:12).
You must arise in the place of prayer and pull down these two types of opposition to your greatness and next level. If you can pray it, God will make it happen. Do not relent until you see victory. God did not promise you a trouble free life but He promised you that in every battle you fight, you will see victory. For He will deliver you out. “Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.” (
Psalms 34:19).
It does not matter the devils in the world, you must know that you do not serve a dead God, you serve a living God. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. If He did it yesterday, He will do it today. Greater is He that is in you than the devil in the world.
It is the will of God to advance you in life. Enter your next level by prayers. Your gift will make a way for you.
Do you know that it was from that moment, after Aaron’s rod swallowed the magicians rods that Moses was recognized? God is not wicked. How can He create you, bring you into this world and not give you something to help you survive and indeed flourish?
