I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him
Psalm 89:20
The anointing is a blessing from God. It conveys and imparts the blessing and favour, of God on a man. To anoint means to rob on, smear all over, massage into, mark visibly and perfumed with. When a man is anointed, he is marked out for honour. When a man encounters the anointing of God, destiny is changed for better, and grace is released for the fulfilment of purpose. You can’t carry the anointing of God and end up a nobody in life and destiny. Receive the anointing now in Jesus name.
In our text today, the bible says “I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him”. Beloved, the anointing of God is for the servants of God. Service to God is the secret to carrying the anointing of God. Those who refuse to serve will not be anointed by God.
Let us consider what the anointing does.
* Supply of divine help and support. “So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me” (Hebrews 13:6). The anointing imparts divine help.
* Divine strength and empowerment. “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint” (Isaiah 40:31). The anointing is divine strength from God.
* Divine protection and preservation. “And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing” (Isaiah 10:27). The anointing is a remover of yoke and a destroyer of burden. It imparts immunity against captivity.
Beloved, God wants all His children to be anointed. Stop struggling in your own strength. The anointing of God makes life easy and impactful.
Prayer Focus:Father, I receive grace to serve you tirelessly. As I serve you, let your anointing come upon my life in Jesus name.
