“Lil Kesh is our own Next Rated artist. F**k that sh*t! The streets ti take over. Every f**king single was a hit back to back. From lyrically, to Shoki to Efejoku. Ko ni dafun Iya anybody,” Olamide had ranted on stage.

He took to his Instagram handle to issue a statement.
“I want to apologise to my fans for my conduct, including swearing on Live TV, at the Headies event some hours ago. I recognise that you all are the most important part of my work and my journey so far, and I would not have come this far without you. Therefore, you deserve better from me. I promised to conduct myself in a more respectable manner in future,” he wrote.
In spite of the apology, the Shakitibobo hit singer did not spare Don Jazzy, as he threw series of jibes at the ingenious beat maker.

The memories from the 2015 Headies Awards will forever linger in the hearts of everyone as music industry heavyweights Olamide and Don Jazzy started the New Year by turning on each other, leaving many in the Nigerian music industry shocked.

YBNL and Mavin Records boss, Olamide and Don Jazzy
It would never have occurred to anyone that these two had it in them to brawl in the open space, having collaborated on the song Skelemba, which is included in Olamide’s November 2014 album.
The show of shame by mavin records boss and YBNL’s street champion started following a series of events at the awards in Lagos after Marvin Record starlet, Reekado Banks, beat Olamide’s protégé, Lil Kesh, to the coveted Next Rated Artist award.
Olamide expressed his frustration at the decision when he accompanied Adekunle Gold, another YBNL act, who won the award for Best Alternative Artiste, to receive the award.
“He (Lil Kesh) is our next rated artiste. He had back to back hits throughout the year – Lyrically, Shoki, Gbese and Efejoku,” he said among other things before throwing the mic on the stage.
The situation took a turn when Don Jazzy, apparently feeling slighted, told Olamide to come and take the car, which comes with the Next Rated award, if he wanted it while receiving the special recognition award.
The comments enraged the YBNL boss who took to Twitter to blast Don Jazzy, warning him to stay away from Lagos mainland.
In a series of tweets Olamide accused Mavin’s boss of ruining D Banj’s career and oppressing artistes signed to his record label.
