It was an atmosphere of Sekem in Akwa Ibom State when the campaign rally of PDP candidate, Udom Emmanuel took off in state capital, Uyo on Friday.The event that also saw the state governor, Godswill Akpabio highlighting all his achievements since the inception of his administration, had heavy weight music stars, including Davido and MC Galaxy who took to the stage to thrill the exciting audience. i am sorry for posting this late but after watching this rally again this morning, i saw the joy in being an akwaibomite, when the Governor couldn't help but to show of his skills in dancing, and being joined by his lovely wife and Mr Udom Emmanuel, truly when the righteous is in throne the people rejoice. #SEKEM .....LOL.....
Both Governor Akpabio and Udom Emmanuel, who were clearly excited and thrilled by the performance of both Davido and MC Galaxy joined the duo on stage to do their own bit of Sekem as the crowd went wild at the new Akwa Ibom International stadium.
Meanwhile, while beating his chest that he was satisfied with all his achievements in the state, Governor Godswill Akpabio asked his supporters to respond with Seken while he listed his achievements in no particular order. As the people continued to chorus Sekem, the Governor thanked them for standing with him despite the propaganda by the opposition. He concluded that ‘’ aside sekem, to God be the glory’’
The high-point of the event was the handing over of the PDP flags to candidates contesting in various positions under the PDP platform in the state.
